Lead – in: - Sets the situation: - Asks the Ss to work in groups, put the following words into their correct order to make meaningful sentences. a. what / you / morning/ do/ every / time / get up? b. Classes / 6: 45 / my/ morning / start / every / at. - Checks the feedback. - Introduces the new lesson: - Reads the meaningful sentences and asks the Ss “ what tense is it?” - Let’s review the present simple tense. II. Pre – Practice: - Underlines the main parts relating to the present simple tense and asks the Ss to say the structures. - Writes the notes: a. S + V / Vs/ Ves. Ex: He gets / watches / listens.. b. S + don’t / doesn’t + V Ex: He doesn’t go / watch c. Do / Does + S + V..? Wh- / how + do / does + S + V..? Ex: What do you do everyday? - Reminds the Ss that we use the present simple tense to talk about what do you do everyday, everyweek, and how often you do things. - d. a, an, some, any - e. Adjectives - f. Question words.. - g. Contrast : Present simple and present progressive tense III. While – Practice: - Asks the Ss to work in goups of 3 or 4 , doing the exercise concering with the present simple tense ( exercise 1, 4,5 on page 122, 123 in the textbook. - Has the Ss answer the exercises in individual. - Asks the Ss to do exercises 2, 3, on page 122, 123 in the textbook. - Corrects the Ss’mistakes. IV. Post – Practice: - Asks the Ss to give the correct verb form of the verbs in brackets in the following sentences. a. Nga (get) up at 6:00 everymorning. b. My fater ( not go) to school everyday. c. You (play) volleyball? - Checks the feedback. V. (A1- 2) Date of preparation : Feb 20th, 2017 Date of teaching : Feb 23th,2017 Classes : 6A,6B Aims and objectives : * Language content : - To introduce the sts some new words relating to some popular sports and pastimes in English. - To enable the sts to review the way of using the present continuous tense. *Language function : - To help the sts to express which sports they play, ask and answer about sports and pastimes. *Educational aim : - To educate in the sts love for sport. 1. Language: a. Vocabulary: swim, skip, jog, table tennis, badminton,volleyball, aerobics. b. Structures: - Review Which sports do you play?- I play soccer. What is he/she doing? He/ She is jogging.
